Understanding Plants: It is a good idea to add plant to your pond. Not only do they look fantastic but they also make the pond healthier by using nitrates that otherwise would feed algae that make the pond go green. As a general the more plants you have in your pond, the less algae you will have. Any plants are good but fast growing marginal plants that have their roots/pot in the water and their leaves above the water are the most effective. Aquatic plants should be added to the pond between March and August so that they have a reasonable time to establish before winter. More gardening products that will suit your need and pocket here...
