Operation - As water enters the filter it passes through a Venturi which adds oxygen to the water, then it enters the bio media module where the patented Kaldnes K3 media is spun around in a suspended state allowing intimate contact with each other and the pond water containing oxygen and waste products from the fish. This allows for high efficiency biofiltration and very clean pond water.

Maintenance of the Hozelock Trinamic - Cleaning is all via easy-to-use sludge drains and, for the foams, no-mess plungers. There's also an indicator to let you know when the foams need cleaning. More gardening products that will suit your need and pocket here...

Capacity - The amount of fish that these filters will support is given in the table, this is the maximum total length of fish if you were to measure them all and add up the lengths e.g. the 20,000 will support 1200cm of fish that's 12 x 100cm fish or 100 x 12cm fish or any other combination.

If you want to include a UVC for crystal clear water then the Vorton fits neatly on the side of the filter. The kit includes a Titan pump and a Vorton UVC.

Nexus Eazy Pod

...the cutting edge. The filter system that koi keepers are talking about. A smaller version of the Nexus Eazy, the Eazy Pod filter is very simple to install and operate. It uses the proven Eazy 200 mechanical filter and Kaldnes KI media resulting in incredibly gin clear water. Cleaning is quick and easy with no wet or dirty hands and the whole filter is tidy and small (just 23" x 23" or 59cm x 59cm). It can be installed either pump or gravity fed and comes complete with adjustable rubber connectors for all pipework up to 3". Includes 35 litres of Kaldnes KI media.

The Eazy Pod needs to be connected to a suitable air pump and we recommend the Airtech 40.

The Eazy Pod is ideal for a koi pond of 10,000 litres and if you are keeping ornamental fish then a pond of 20,000 litres. It has a maximum flow rate of 10,000 litres per hour. A suitable pump would move all of the pond water through the Eazy Pod in 2 hours.
